Default bent-over barbell row

do you guys/girls pull from the ground each rep or lower the weight down using shoulders as support?

My arms aren't long enough for the barbell to touch the ground, but I do let my shoulders come forward all the way. I make a point of pinching my shoulder blades at the top of the motion, and row the bar to the upper abdomen.

Id unlock your scaps on the bottom then pull them back and row it up. Its should kind of be a natural movement for you, if not from the start but in time. I wouldnt go to the ground unless you have Gorilla arms

I never touch the ground with the barbell or dumbbells. For one, I don't want to lose the tension I am keeping in my back and shoulders. I also don't want to let them round so far forward that I could reach the ground. I like to use pretty strict form and lift and lower the bar smoothly and with control so I am working the muscles that I want to.
