Question about squatting after watching your video on Youtube on how to properly use a belt.

In your video, you explained that in order to properly utilize a belt, you fill your belly with air and that causes your back to be very tight as your filled belly pushes against your belt (put on very tightly), which in turn makes your lower back very tight and strong.

My question regarding this is - how do you maintain that tightness between reps when you exhale at the top of the ROM. My tendency is that when I exhale, my belly loses its tightness and hence the spine takes more of the load.

You never exhale fully and then inhale again and be sure to pres the air back in your gut. Generally I make people wear belts lose until they learn how to get air pressed out against it and then slowly tighten the belt
